MAD in 2018

About the event

Dear MAD community,

Thank you for an amazing year. We shared the foraging knowledge of the noma kitchen with more than 40,000 people through our free digital app VILD MAD (‘Wild Food’), and we hosted MAD Mondays on some of the issues that matter most in food. As 2017 comes to a close, we’re excited to give you a preview of what we’re working on for the coming year.

Remember that big red tent? MAD’s sixth Symposium will be held in Copenhagen on Sunday, August 26, and Monday, August 27, 2018.

MAD Mondays are coming to Sydney, Australia with the help of chef Kylie Kwong and Carriageworks. On Monday, April 16, and on Monday, July 16, 2018, MAD will bring together voices from across the Australian food community for talks on the role today’s restaurants play in taking care of the environment. We’re excited to test out MAD Mondays in a community we know and love.

And, with Dispatches, our first publication in a series from Artisan led by former Lucky Peach Editor Chris Ying coming out in September, we’re feeling like this is going to be a bang-up year.

We’ll be sharing more details on email and social media in early 2018. We won’t have more information for you until then, so please save questions until you next hear from us. In the meantime, mark your calendars, check out MAD’s vault of videos, and tune into our Instagram story takeovers highlighting innovative food projects and inspiring people from around the world.

Looking forward to seeing you in Copenhagen, Sydney, and elsewhere in 2018!

All the very best from the MAD Team,

Melina, Bella, Mikkel, Mikkel-Lau, Victor, Simone, Chris, and Aralyn
